If you are looking for a family companion please check your local shelters first as there are many dogs waiting for new homes. One great rescoures is PetFinder.com where you can search for your favorite breed in shelters near you! We occasionally have spayed/nuetered rescue dogs available for a small adoption fee (to cover spay/neuter surgery). Please don't breed your dog just because he/she is a purebred dog or because you know so many people that want a dog just like yours. There are so many homeless dogs that are euthanized every year simply because they don't have homes; up to 25% of dogs in shelters are purebreds most from backyard breeders, accidentaly breedings and puppy mills. The only reason you should be breeding is to improve the breed, health testing is essential in all breeds, especaially large breeds like American Bulldogs. There are so many genetic health factors that can be reduced simply by not breeding affected adults.
PLEASE SPAY/NUETER YOUR PETS! If you don't have the money to health test your dog, the time to train it, show it and/or compete in performance events with it then he/she should be fixed!
